Peaceful Waves Crashing Over Rocks, Ireland 4K
I spent some time on the Irish Atlantic coast this week, so along with photographing the beauty of Irish seascapes I also made this video of a calm afternoon on a cloudy day with gentle waves crashing slowly over rocks.

The Quiraing is one of Scotland's most scenic locations, the area is part of an ancient but still moving landslip off the Trotternish Ridge. Here I take a drive up the scenic road towards and up to the ridge passing sheep and only a few other cars on a fine-weather day.

Thank you, will be doing this next month, and wanted an idea on the drive. Very beautiful day for the drive! I imagine on rainy/foggy days, this would be kind of harrowing, but eerie too. probably quadruple the time at minimum.
Hope you had good weather and enjoyed the drive as well. Yes, it's a bit more difficult in rainy and cloudy conditions but quite atmospheric at the same time.

I've heard that a lot and will be at Altogether Now next year. Electric Picnic definitely had a bit of a nostalgic feel this year though, with a real mix of age groups again.
I watched Rick Astley, went to get a drink or 2, tried to get into the Electric Arena for the Wolfe Tones set and couldn't get in, they absolutely packed the place out.
It was crazy, the aerial photos really show the size of the crowd.
@@PanoramicIreland to actually see it in person was something else. And with the age diversity you'd swear it was Justin Bieber they were all trying to see.

I saw one in my garden today,I live by the coast,sniffed a few wildflowers in my window box and flew off😊

Some of my ancesters come from this area and had children baptised in Fethard. (Vaughan, Maher, Meaher) I'm having a hard time finding them except for the three baptisms in Fethard. Their residences were in Glengard in 1838 and Newtown in 1845. Thank you for this video. Was this the only catholic church and graveyard? The video really gave me a feel for where they lived!
Thanks Christine, I'll be making a return to Fethard this summer but those names do remain popular in the area, it's difficult to trace with certainty due to records having been destroyed.
Thanks for the beautiful drive. Glad you only met a slow moving tractor on those narrow roads and were able to pull over. I wonder why all the trees were cut down along the road in that one section?
Thanks, it was a new area to drive through for me. That's commercial forestry, it leaves terrible destruction in its wake.

Did this in late 90s weather started sunny but clouds and rain rolled in half way, slowed down to walking pace. We had a convoy of cyclists, tourists, locals, Cement trucks at the finish, toughest drive of my life. Great video thanks for sharing 👍

@@PanoramicIreland No would love to. My great grandad Patrick left for Tottington in Lancashire, England in the 1880's. My grandad was William Hayde.

Those people are all nuts to go swimming at that "swim spot" at that time of the year. I would rather be shot from cannon than to jump in the water at this frigid beach, winter or summer.

I think I saw one of these in the garden few days ago. I was like what the HELL was that.. something that appeared to hover and move erratically like a humming bird, was only there for a second or two before flying off.
That sounds about right, it's what I thought too when I saw this one. A rare sight in Ireland still.
